Lyphard, Stop the Music gone

Even though some of us wished that Lyphard would live forever, we knew that he couldn’t. The end came for the pensioned stallion on June 10 at Gainesway Farm near Lexington, Ky.
Lyphard was 36 when he was euthanized because of infirmities of old age, and according to the Thoroughbred Times Racing Almanac, he was the oldest living notable thoroughbred.
