Averill, Ziadie team up for two wins at Tampa Bay Downs

OLDSMAR, Fla. – Tampa Bay Downs’s leading owner Richard Averill teamed up with second-leading trainer Kirk Ziadie for two wins on Tuesday afternoon’s 10 race program; those wins were two of three total for the conditioner today. Averill now has 20 wins for the 2008-2009 Tampa race meeting and Ziadie has 40 victories to his credit.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – In a continued effort to provide the wagering public the best racing product possible, Arlington Park management announced that they have reached an agreement with the Illinois Thoroughbred Horseman’s Association (ITHA) to offer a bonus of up to five percent of the base purse of overnight races contingent upon the number of distinct wagering interests in the starting field.
