Well Monied gives Rosario hat trick with Honeymoon win

Bold Start fine after Aristides win at Churchill Downs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lawrence Carroll’s Bold Start had an easy morning at Barn 6 after his 2¾-length victory over Semaphore Man in Saturday’s Grade 3 Aristides. “I don’t know what it is, but he loves this track,” said Billy Wright, assistant to trainer Ken McPeek. “I told Paul McGee (who saddled Success Success in the Aristides) that they’d have to run 1:09 to beat him and he won in 1:09 flat.”



Charitable Man, Dunkirk work for Belmont Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. – Charitable Man and Dunkirk, who could be the second and third choices behind Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird in Saturday’s 141st running of the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Stakes, turned in their final works this morning for the 1½-mile race at Belmont Park.

Nursery Rhyme wins Fit For a Queen by a neck at Arlington Park

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – Janis Whitham’s Nursery Rhyme split horses at the sixteenth pole and held off a resurgent Sly Storm in the waning yards to win the $52,400 Fit For a Queen Stakes by a neck on Saturday at Arlington Park.  Jesse Campbell was aboard the Ian Wilkes-trained daughter of Tale of a Cat who covered the 6½ furlongs over Polytrack in 1:17.08.
