BALTIMORE, Md. – Gov. Martin O’Malley, Atty. Gen. Doug Gansler, Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Tom Chuckas, President and COO of the Maryland Jockey Club, Saturday addressed the settlement agreement that ensures the Preakness will remain in Maryland.

Small fire forces Calder to cancel five races Thursday

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A small electrical fire in the TV control module at Calder Casino & Race Course forced track officials to cancel races five through nine on Thursday.  The fire was immediately extinguished at 2:50 p.m. and no one was hurt; however, equipment necessary to adjudicate racing and broadcast Calder’s signal was disrupted.  The decision to cancel the rest of the card was made at 3:25 p.m. as technicians continued to…
