Belmont Stakes contender Stay Put worked five furlongs in 50.62 Sunday morning over the main track in preparation for Saturday’s 142nd running of the “Test of the Champion.” Exercise rider Loren Diego was aboard for the move, which took place promptly after the renovation break at 9 a.m.

ELMONT, N.Y. – Belmont hopeful Stately Victor arrived at Belmont Park a few hours behind schedule Thursday, but no worse for the trip.

“Everything went smoothly, but the plane was a little late,” trainer Mike Maker said at his Belmont barn Friday morning. “I think they had some mechanical issues. We got here at about 7:45 last night.”

Trainer D. Wayne Lukas said Thursday at Churchill Downs that Dublin will not run in the 142nd Belmont Stakes on June 5. That means that  no horse will have run in all three Triple Crown races this year.
